SBM ITB, in collaboration with Kompas Gramedia Publisher, launched a book entitled “Enterprise Risk Management” on Friday (28/2). This book was written by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sudarso Kaderi Wiryono, DEA., Professor of Risk Management SBM ITB, and a team of other experts.
Exploring the concept of risk management comprehensively, this book discusses practical strategies relevant to various industrial sectors, complete with real case studies from companies in Indonesia. This book is a rich source of learning for anyone who wants to understand the application of risk management directly from the field.
Prof. Sudarso said this book was born from the accumulation of thoughts and long experience studying risk management in various aspects of business and life.
“Risk is an inseparable part of every business process, but with a systematic and strategic approach, risk can be managed and even become an opportunity,” he said.
He hopes this book serves as a valuable reference for business students and professionals looking to strengthen their company’s strategy.
Andreas Maryoto, a representative from Harian Kompas, praised the publication of this book, calling it an important contribution to the development of risk management science in Indonesia. He noted that the book offers in-depth insights that will remain relevant and continue to evolve alongside the growing demand for understanding risk in the business world.
In discussing this book, Sugeng Santoso, Expert Staff for Maritime Economics at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, shared the government’s perspective on implementing risk management in public policy. He explained how the central and regional governments integrate risk management to support more accurate and measurable decision-making to achieve national development goals.
The book “Corporate Risk Management” is now available for purchase at the Gramedia Bookstore, as well as online through Shopee and Tokopedia. This new publication not only enhances the academic literature at SBM ITB but also underscores the campus’s commitment to fostering the growth of business science and practice in Indonesia. We hope this book serves as a valuable learning resource for academics, business practitioners, and the broader community seeking to develop more resilient and sustainable businesses.
