June 8, 2026

Carrying the theme “Human Edge: The Power Beyond Technology,” the 2026 Ganesha Business Festival (GBF) of the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB), highlighted the importance of human roles amid rapidly advancing technological developments. This message was encapsulated in an exhibition of student innovation, creativity, and business work displayed at the Sawarga Courtyard, Summarecon Mall Bandung on Saturday (May 30).

This annual event provides a platform for students to demonstrate that human creativity, empathy, and thinking skills remain crucial to creating meaningful innovations.

“GBF conveys that in today’s world, humans should continue to lead and collaborate with technology. As technology evolves, it is essential for humans to maintain leadership,” said Naura Tsabita Wibowo, Project Officer of GBF 2026.

GBF is an annual event that showcases various courses at SBM ITB. GBF is a platform for SBM students to showcase their innovative work, prototypes, and creative ideas.

“This way, students not only learn about business directly, but also receive feedback from the general public on their progress so far,” explained Eko Agus Prasetio, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at SBM ITB.

GBF 2026 featured a variety of events, including exhibition showcases, business showcases, pitching sessions, investor hunts, talk shows, performances, and interactive games. More than 70 booths enlivened the exhibition showcase. These booths covered various subjects, including Business Practice, Business Ecosystem, Business Prototyping, Integrated Business Experience (IBE), Introduction to Engineering and Design (PRD), and Experience-Based Management Learning (GBML).

In addition to student booths, GBF 2026 also featured external tenants, food vendors, and various interactive activities for visitors. The GBF 2026 exhibition successfully attracted public enthusiasm, attracting more than 10,500 visitors.

“This year’s GBF was even more lively than last year. Many exciting guest stars were very relatable to Gen Z,” said Keishandita Ergitamanda, a 2026 Entrepreneurship student.

Meanwhile, Samala Wangsa Sumule from SBM 28 stated that GBF provided students with an opportunity to showcase their work directly to the public.

“At this event, we can showcase the products we’ve created, and from visitor feedback, we can also gain insights into how to make improvements,” she said.

In addition to a student business exhibition, GBF 2026 also featured a talk show with Pasming Based (Ahmad Dekatama), which provided insights into creativity and innovation in the digital era. A special performance from NPD (New Pusat Dunia) also drew enthusiastic attendees.

GBF 2026 was supported by various sponsors and partners who helped create a space for innovation and collaboration for the younger generation. The support comes from various industry sectors, including Zurich, Pertamina, BYD, PLN, Pelindo, Krom Bank, Paragon, Maiimi, BTN, and Frisian Flag. This cross-industry collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable innovation among Indonesian students and young people.
