After being postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Master of Administration (MBA) School of Business and Management Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) finally held an Alumni Gathering virtually, Saturday (19/6/2021). Around 500 alumni, from batch 2004 to 2021 and various backgrounds, attended the Alumni Gathering, including the Minister of Maritime and Fisheries, Ir. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, MBA. 

The event was held in collaboration between SBM Alumni Relations, Dr. Neneng Nurlaela Arief, S.E., M.A.B., MBA ITB Study Program, and SBM ITB Alumni Association.

The gathering started with a virtual tour of the ITB Gelap Nyawang Bandung MBA campus. The Virtual Alumni Gathering of the campus with ABES 21 accreditation and will soon receive AACSB accreditation was opened with remarks from the Head of Study Program, Dr. Yunieta Anny Nainggolan Ph.D., the past MBA ITB directors, and the deputy deans of SBM ITB. “Let’s connect, collaborate, and inspire,” said Dr. Yunieta in her speech.

The event was hosted by Tamadara Hilman, an MBA ITB alumni, and Alka Ahmad. It presented several performances, including a special performance from Indonesia Mencari Bakat Trans TV alumni, Vina Candrawati, MBA Batch 37, and Kharisma Sania, a pianist, and singer, who is also MBA ITB alumni. This MBA ITB Virtual Alumni Gathering event also invited MBA ITB partners to sign a memorandum of understanding for future collaboration, including Ade Wahyudi as Director of Business and Operations at Katadata Indonesia, Samantha as HR Manager of PT Olam Indonesia, Radeya Pranata as Chair of IA SBM ITB, Gembong Primadjaja as Chairperson of IA ITB Chair, I Made Ariya Sanjaya as President Director of PT Kazee Digital Indonesia, Fina Silmi Febriyan as President Director of PT Kolaborasi Edukasi Nusantara (Vokraf), and Jemy Confido as SGM Telkom CorpU.

MBA ITB Alumni were also invited to present at the event. Each speaker presented material about the Digital Business Ecosystem based on their current background and profession. For example, Dr. apt. Mas Rahman Roestan, MBA, delivered about Digital Business Ecosystem in Pharma Industry, supported by his background as Director of Biofarma. “If a company wants to gain a competitive advantage and stay ahead of its competitors, fast, efficient action and agile processes are a must,” said Pak Rahman.

Other than Dr.Rahman, starting with a rhyme, Melvin Mumpuni, the founder of PT Solusi Finansialku Indonesia, also presented about technology and digitalization that now exists in various industries, including in the financial sector. In addition, Reza Ashari Nasution, Ph.D., presented about the Digital Business Ecosystem from another point of view.

As the highlight of the event, the ITB MBA Virtual Alumni Gathering announced the Alumni Awards for the MBA National Leader category and winners from each field, M Rahman Roestandi as MBA the Research Advisor, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Ken Ratri as MBA the Promising Technopreneurs, Melvin Mumpuni as the MBA Influencer, Nazaro Aulany Priyadi as the MBA Campaign Leader, and Muhammad Shiddiq as the MBA Sustainable Entrepreneur. The MBA Virtual Alumni Gathering ended with the announcement and introduction of the next IA MBA ITB chairperson.
