ITB’s 67th anniversary, four SBM ITB lecturers receive awards

Four lecturers from SBM ITB, received ITB’s 67th Anniversary Awards during an open session held in the West Hall of ITB on Monday, March 2nd. The ceremony was opened by ITB Rector Tatacipta Dirgantara. The awards were presented to lecturers who have made outstanding contributions in teaching, research, community service, and institutional development.

The Chairman of the ITB Board of Trustees, Budi Gunadi Sadikin emphasized in his remarks that ITB has had a mission since its inception to educate the nation through science and technology. He believes that a university’s quality is ultimately measured by its graduates’ quality. He also highlighted ITB’s target of being among the top 150 universities in the world, which he believes is not merely a matter of ranking, but also reflects the quality of graduates and the relevance of research to national progress.

ITB Rector Tatacipta Dirgantara added that the 67th Anniversary was a moment to reflect on the university’s role amidst rapid global change. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that science and technology can have a real impact on society.

This year, four lecturers from SBM ITB received awards in various categories. Santi Novani was recognized for her outstanding teaching. She has consistently maintained high-quality learning by utilizing contextual teaching methods and fostering academic interactions that promote critical and reflective thinking among students.

In the field of research and innovation, Dzikri Firmansyah Hakam received an award for his exceptional contributions. Over the past two years, he has published 33 papers in Q1 and Q2 journals indexed by Scopus. His research primarily focuses on energy issues, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and energy transition policies that are relevant to both industry and government.

The award for community service was presented to Henndy Ginting, who is actively involved in various national strategic programs. His contributions include leadership development in both the public and corporate sectors, as well as offering psychology services and engaging in community development initiatives.

Meanwhile, Pri Hermawan received an award for institutional development in recognition of his efforts to strengthen academic and organizational governance at SBM ITB. He has held various strategic positions within the business school for over 15 years. 

The ITB 67th Anniversary Award honors the contributions of the academic community to enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service. For SBM ITB, this award reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation and making meaningful contributions to the nation’s progress.
