474 SBM ITB graduates attend Graduation Night, urged to contribute to the future

A total of 474 graduates from undergraduate to doctoral levels attended the graduation night of the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) for the April period in Bandung (April 17-18). This year’s graduation ceremony carried the theme “Graduation Night: The Legacy.”

The Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Aurik Gustomo, S.T., M.T., emphasized in his remarks that education at ITB is inclusive and rooted in strong historical values. He highlighted SBM ITB’s international recognition through AACSB accreditation, which enables students to gain global experience through dual-degree programs. Three main pillars—entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation—were emphasized as essential tools for graduates to continue developing and contributing to the future.

SBM ITB is also actively pursuing global collaborations, including partnerships with Airbus in the aviation industry and Uniqlo. In research, the performance of lecturers also demonstrates the quality of the institution, with dozens of publications in reputable international journals throughout 2025.

Dr. R. Adrian Ariatin, S.Sn., M.B.A., Chair of the SBM ITB Management Science Alumni Association, emphasized that obtaining an academic degree marks the beginning of a responsibility to contribute to society. Meanwhile, Dr. Ir. Leonard M. Manurung, S.T., M.B.A., IPU, encouraged graduates to trust the process, remain consistent, and view each experience as an interconnected part of the whole.

The Chair of the ITB MBA Alumni Association, Inti Intishar, MBA, added that SBM ITB graduates are equipped with a strong foundation and an alumni network ready to support their careers. Meanwhile, MBA graduate, Ir. Dedy Saptaria Rosa, S.Hut., MBA, also emphasized the importance of critical thinking, the courage to take risks, and maintaining networks as keys to success.

The event also featured a tribute to the graduates and an artistic performance that enhanced the lively atmosphere. With renewed enthusiasm, the graduates are expected to become innovative and ethical leaders who will make a positive impact on society. This graduation marks the first step toward contributing to both the nation and the world.
