This digital era requires organizations to collect and analyze data into useful knowledge to increase organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness.

At the GLINK Knowledge Management Summit 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Bali on 9-11 January 2024, Professor in Knowledge Management at the SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jann Hidajat Tjakraatmadja, M.Eng., who also serves as the President of the Indonesian Knowledge Management Society (KMSI), said that the selected theme for the joint summit this time is End to End Knowledge Management.

The main aim of this conference is to maximize the use of knowledge, enable appropriate decision-making, and improve problem-solving abilities and competitiveness amidst the dynamics of this era of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and the Internet of Things or IoT.

Jann emphasized the importance of collaboration in developing a knowledge management ecosystem. Collaboration between organizations, academics, and practitioners can produce knowledge management innovations that suit the digital era’s needs.

“There are many intelligent individuals out there, but their knowledge is not shared,” said Jann. “Collaboration can be a solution to overcome the stagnation in the field.”

He also highlighted the low level of innovation in Indonesia due to the lack of knowledge utilization.

“We need to increase awareness of the importance of knowledge management,” he said.
